Diversify your investment portfolio with Decorative Art & Antiques - to help protect against inflation and further
financial market volitility, generate healthy returns over the medium term and enhance
the beauty of your home interior.

WHO ARE OUR CLIENTS?

The person buying Decorative Art & Antiques may be one of the following -

The Aesthete

Many discerning clients have a keen eye for high quality items to decorate and furnish their homes. They have specific requirements for the interiors of their properties and choose to acquire the most aesthetically pleasing items for daily or occasional use, whilst also proving to be an astute investment purchase. Some clients select a few choice items and others decide to furnish the majority of their homes with decorative arts and antiques. They know that to buy new is to throw money away and that their purchases will at least return their investment in the future or better still, return a profit.

Of course finding the right look can be a challenge and isn't something to consider lightly. We can help you with this too - via the general advice provided by John Bly, or we can provide a full interior design service to guarantee you achieve the desired look and functionality for your interior space.

The Investor

Other customers want to take advantage of the investment opportunity that Best-in-Class Decorative Art & Antiques affords them. However, they may not have the desire nor space available to take delivery of these items. These clients are interested in these assets purely for investment purposes. In these circumstances many of our clients decide to store their investments themselves in occasional rooms or facilities outside their main residence, or otherwise choose to have us store their items on their behalf.

Our storage facilities are secure, climate controlled and fully insured. Your investments wait quietly and safely, whilst they steadily appreciate in value over the medium term. Five years is the minimum advised, but it is often advisable to look to the longer term for some categories to fully realize their potential (see our table of 'best-in-class' items for examples).

A service unlike any other

We have also negotiated a special arrangement with John Bly Antiques which guarantees your complete satisfaction and almost eliminates your risk. John Bly's sourcing skills, his 100 year old family business and its history with many distinguished family offices and estates, guarantees that items are bought and sold on your behalf at fair-to-all prices. However, so confident is he in his chosen field of expertise that he will -

  1. provide initial consultation free of charge.
  2. guarantee DAI customers first refusal on items that have significant investment value and are yet to enter the public domain.
  3. assist with professional advice and the preparation for sale at auction of any item you purchased from us, without charge; or help secure a private sale for the best possible price via industry and private client networks, for a nominal fee of 5% of sale value.

Your personal satisfaction is paramount. Our service is designed to be professional throughout, yet relaxed and without pressure. Click here to go directly to our contact page, and find out how to discuss your needs with John Bly.

The Financial Advisor

The Financial Advisor has typically found information in this market vague and inconsistent and has therefore not felt comfortable making assessment on behalf of his or her client. However, using our extensive research and analysis, a far better examination of client suitability can be conducted. We aim to provide reliable information and assets of the highest quality, to ensure the Financial Advisor has the tools and the confidence to professionally assist their clients with this important asset class.
